Job Description

Virtru is seeking a highly skilled Senior User Experience Designer to join our innovative team. In this remote role, you will be at the forefront of designing intuitive and secure data protection solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to translate complex customer needs into exceptional user experiences, driving product direction and ensuring high-quality design execution.

This position offers the opportunity to own UX challenges end-to-end, from initial discovery and research to final implementation. You will lead your own research initiatives, design with precision using tools like Figma, and make critical trade-offs to balance usability, security, and business goals. Key Responsibilities

Own UX problems end-to-end, from discovery through execution with minimal oversight.
Plan and conduct user research, including interviews and usability tests, synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma, FigJam, and Figma Make.
Make thoughtful design decisions considering usability, security, technical constraints, and business goals.
Prototype and validate designs early and often through quick testing.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams as an equal partner.
Communicate research findings and design decisions clearly and confidently.
Contribute to UX standards, accessibility, and design systems.
Mentor other designers through strong craft and thoughtful critique.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience as a UX and Interaction Designer.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality UX with ownership.
Strong foundation in UX research, including interviewing and usability testing.
Deep proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and Figma Make.
Experience designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise products.
Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards.
Comfort designing for multiple personas (Buyers, End Users, IT Administrators, Engineers).
A strong portfolio showcasing problem framing, design rationale, and shipped outcomes.
