Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to inform buying decisions.
- Select and purchase merchandise across various categories, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and budget.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and product turnover to optimize stock management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotions.
- Manage order placement, tracking, and resolution of any supply chain issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Buyer, preferably within the fashion or retail industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail buying processes, trend forecasting, and inventory management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in retail planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
