Job Description

Join Landmark Group as an Assistant Manager for Buying, focusing on the dynamic Menswear category.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the buyer and senior buyer with critical tasks. This includes negotiating costs with suppliers to ensure margin targets are met and contributing to the formulation of seasonal strategies through in-season and post-season analysis.

You will also assist in creating comprehensive seasonal range and buy plans. Collaboration with the design team for product development and managing vendors for tech pack finalization and supplier selection will be key responsibilities.

Further, you will work on finalizing samples and ranges for laydown, maintaining seamless communication with suppliers regarding requirements, pricing, packaging, and compliance.

Close collaboration with merchandisers on approvals, fits, and the overall look of garments is expected. You will also manage sample lifecycles, critical paths, vendors, and logistics.

Efficient PLM management, including data entry, comments, and price negotiation, is essential. You will analyze weekly sales reports, product performance, and stock availability, highlighting key insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the buyer/senior buyer in costing negotiation with suppliers and ensure margin targets are met.
  • Work with the buyer/senior buyer to formulate clear strategy for season through in-season and post-season review analysis.
  • Assist the buyer/senior buyer in creating seasonal range plan/buy plan.
  • Work closely with the buyer and design team for product development.
  • Support in product development with design, manage vendors - tech pack finalization & supplier selections.
  • Work with the buyer/senior buyer to finalize sample & ranges for laydown.
  • Communication with suppliers – requirements, pricing, packaging and compliance.
  • Work closely with merchandiser on approvals/ fits/ overall look of the garment, sample management, critical path management, vendors & logistics management.
  • Seamless PLM management in terms of data entry, comments & price negotiation.
  • Analyze weekly sales reports, product performance, stock availability, UDA analysis and highlight clear insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a buying or merchandising role within the fashion industry, preferably menswear.
  • Strong understanding of costing, negotiation, and margin management.
  • Experience in developing seasonal range plans and buy plans.
  • Familiarity with product development processes and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and data entry.
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and product performance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
