Job Description
Coca-Cola HBC Northern Ireland is seeking a skilled Production Specialist to join their dynamic Supply Chain team. This role is crucial for optimizing production operations within the manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with various departments, including Production, Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Engineering, to ensure smooth and efficient processes. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting SAP transactions, managing inventory, analyzing production yields, and driving performance improvement initiatives.
This is a fixed-term contract position, offering a valuable opportunity to contribute to a leading global beverage company and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily production operations to ensure efficient and uninterrupted processes
- Monitor and analyse production performance, focusing on yield, waste, and efficiency
- Maintain and manage SAP transactions including confirmations, goods movements, and stock adjustments
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of system postings in line with operational requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for SAP and production system-related issues
- Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Conduct regular stock checks and investigate inventory discrepancies or variances
- Support end-of-month stock and reporting processes
- Track and analyse yield performance across production lines
- Investigate losses, waste, and inefficiencies using structured problem-solving tools such as A3 and RCA
- Generate and analyse reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Support KPI/KBI tracking and performance reviews
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and Operational Excellence principles
- Support 5S, GMP, and operational discipline within the production environment
- Act as a key liaison between Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics
- Ensure clear communication of risks, priorities, and operational issues
- Other duties as and when required
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (production and inventory modules essential)
- High level proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Experience with inventory management systems and stock control processes
- Solid understanding of production processes, yields, and efficiency metrics
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive actions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Experience within a manufacturing / FMCG environment (Desired)
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, A3, or continuous improvement tools (Desired)
- Experience supporting yield improvement or waste reduction initiatives (Desired)
- Forklift Truck trained (Desired)
- 5S trained (Desired)
