Job Description

Sortly is seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the evolution of its core Inventory Management product line. This pivotal role involves shaping the strategic vision and execution of AI-powered features designed to transform how businesses manage operational workflows.

You will be instrumental in evolving Sortly from a basic inventory tracking system into an intelligent inventory operations platform. Your responsibilities will include defining the roadmap for high-impact capabilities such as inventory forecasting, replenishment, smart insights, automated reconciliation, and AI-driven workflow guidance. These features are crucial for enabling customers to operate more efficiently while maintaining Sortly’s signature mobile-first simplicity.

Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and data science teams, you will deliver intelligent product capabilities that drive customer retention, expansion, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the 1–3 year vision for AI-powered inventory management
  • Prioritize features like forecasting, replenishment, smart insights, and workflow automation
  • Make tradeoffs on scope and investment to maximize customer and business impact
  • Lead end-to-end development of AI initiatives (e.g., predictive recommendations, workflow automation)
  • Write clear product requirements and partner with engineering, design, and data science
  • Balance speed, quality, and technical tradeoffs to ship impactful features
  • Develop deep expertise in workflows across industries (construction, field services, manufacturing, medical)
  • Use customer research and product data to identify automation opportunities
  • Own key outcomes like adoption, efficiency gains, and revenue impact
  • Work cross-functionally to unblock development and drive execution
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on GTM strategy
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, including 2+ years in B2B SaaS
  • 1+ year building AI/ML-powered products with real customer impact
  • Proven track record of shipping successful products end-to-end
  • Comfortable discussing AI/ML concepts, system design, and tradeoffs with engineering
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, GTM, and data science in fast-paced environments
  • Customer-focused: You turn complex operational needs into simple, intuitive product experiences
  • Strategic: You balance long-term vision with practical, near-term decisions
  • Execution-oriented: You write clear requirements and consistently ship high-quality products on time
  • Data-driven: You use analytics, research, and model performance to guide decisions
  • Technically fluent: You understand the basics of AI/ML systems, data pipelines, and their constraints
  • Take ownership of outcomes and move quickly from idea to execution
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Build alignment across teams and navigate competing priorities effectively
  • Thrive in ambiguity and work collaboratively to solve complex problems
  • Experience in operations-focused B2B SaaS (e.g., inventory management, ERP) is a plus
  • Familiarity with SMB customers is a plus
  • Experience with mobile or international products is a plus
