Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Utilities Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of all essential utility systems within the plant, supporting continuous production activities.
This role involves operating and monitoring power generation, water treatment, compressed air, and HVAC systems, as well as managing boilers, chillers, and cooling towers to maintain optimal operating parameters.
You will also oversee wastewater and influent treatment processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Prompt response to utility breakdowns, accurate record-keeping of operations and maintenance, and support for energy efficiency initiatives are key aspects of this position. Furthermore, you will uphold safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor all utility systems to ensure continuous plant operations.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance of power generation, water treatment, compressed air, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems to maintain required operating parameters.
- Oversee wastewater and influent treatment processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain uninterrupted utility supply to support production targets.
- Respond promptly to utility breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of utility operations and maintenance activities.
- Support energy efficiency and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in utilities operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining power generation systems, water treatment plants, air compressors, electrical systems, pumps, AHUs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, boreholes, and wastewater/influent treatment plants.
- Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance for utility equipment.
- Basic knowledge of energy management and utility efficiency optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot utility system faults effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and environmental compliance regulations.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
