Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide executive leadership across our organization's operational ecosystem. This critical role ensures technical excellence, safety, and efficiency in all service lines, translating strategic objectives into effective operational systems.
As COO, you will drive continuous improvement, optimize financial and operational performance, and strengthen our reliability and service delivery capabilities. You will work closely with the CEO and the executive leadership team to achieve our strategic goals.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an operational master plan aligned with the organisation’s strategic roadmap.
- Ensure operational readiness and performance across multiple operational bases.
- Lead preparedness systems covering equipment lifecycle, maintenance, logistics, and deployment readiness.
- Translate strategic priorities into annual operational plans and measurable KPIs.
- Institutionalize continuous improvement and cost optimisation frameworks.
- Oversee execution of operational programs in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead operational audits, compliance reviews, and emergency response drills.
- Supervise deployment of operational assets and maintain high technical readiness levels.
- Ensure operational teams are trained, certified, and field-ready.
- Foster partnerships with equipment manufacturers and research institutions to drive innovation.
- Support development of training and certification capabilities to enhance internal and external competencies.
- Integrate simulation drills and scenario-based operational training.
- Oversee incident investigations and ensure preventive actions are institutionalized.
- Champion digital transformation in asset tracking, maintenance, and performance reporting.
- Oversee operational budgets, capital expenditure, and cost optimisation across service lines.
- Implement financial performance tracking and variance management systems.
- Negotiate vendor and partner contracts ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain equipment and inventory availability at optimal operational levels.
- Build a culture of operational discipline, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Mentor and develop operational leaders across regions.
- Implement workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development programs.
- Strengthen collaboration across Operations, Training, Finance, and Strategy functions.
- Promote ethical leadership and safety-first culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Marine, or related technical discipline.
- Master’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 10 years progressive leadership experience in industrial, environmental, or technical operations.
- At least 5 years in senior operational management across multi-site or regional operations.
- Proven record of operational efficiency improvement and cost optimisation.
- ISO Management Systems Lead Auditor (9001/14001/45001) preferred.
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification preferred.
- Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent) preferred.
- Relevant professional or industry memberships preferred.
- Operational readiness and logistics management expertise.
- QHSE and compliance management capability.
- Financial and operational performance integration.
- Stakeholder and regulatory engagement.
- Leadership, coaching, and talent development.
- Process optimization and resource planning.
- Data-driven decision making and digital systems proficiency.
