Job Description
Access Bank PLC is seeking an innovative AI Security Personnel to join our Cybersecurity team in Lagos, Nigeria. This role is crucial for protecting our advanced machine learning and AI systems throughout their lifecycle, from initial design to ongoing operation. You will collaborate with data science, engineering, and IT governance teams to ensure our AI systems are robust, trustworthy, and compliant with all internal standards and external regulations.
Your primary responsibilities will include identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, deployment, and inference. You will implement controls to protect against AI-specific threats such as data poisoning, model theft, prompt injection, adversarial inputs, and model inversion. Supporting the secure deployment of AI models in cloud, containerized, and API-based environments, as well as assisting in securing third-party and open-source models, frameworks, and datasets, will be key.
You will contribute to AI security risk assessments, threat models, and control mappings, and support the development and enforcement of AI security standards, guardrails, and secure-by-design patterns. Aligning AI security practices with broader enterprise risk, privacy, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, emerging AI regulations) will be essential. You will also participate in AI governance forums, provide security input to model approval and review processes, and help define logging, monitoring, and alerting requirements for AI systems.
Furthermore, you will support the investigation and response to AI-related security incidents or misuse, track vulnerabilities and emerging threats related to AI platforms and tooling, and work with data scientists and engineers to embed security into AI development workflows and CI/CD pipelines. Providing guidance on secure data handling, model access controls, and secrets management, and contributing to internal training, documentation, and awareness around AI security risks and best practices are also core duties. You will stay current with evolving AI threats, attack techniques, and defensive controls, and evaluate AI security tools and capabilities.
