Job Description

BlackStone eIT is seeking a highly experienced Specialist in Gas Regulation to join their team in Abu Dhabi.

This critical role involves the comprehensive design, operation, and maintenance of gas regulation systems. Your responsibilities will ensure the safe and reliable control of pressure across extensive gas distribution networks, serving industrial, commercial, and residential consumers.

Key duties include evaluating and designing gas pressure regulation stations and equipment, managing and monitoring transmission and distribution systems, and ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and coordinating with operational teams and external agencies for system upgrades and incident response.

Furthermore, you will prepare essential technical documentation, reports, and risk assessments, while assisting in the planning and execution of system rehabilitation and modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the regulation of gas markets.
Experience in gas tariff structuring, cost-of-service models, and pricing methodologies.
Experience in licensing processes for gas-related activities (e.g., distribution, supply, trading, transportation).
Experience in compliance monitoring and enforcement of technical, commercial, and safety obligations.
Experience in regulatory reporting and auditing, with exposure to market liberalization and public-private frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Industrial, or equivalent).
