Job Description

Join Shell's Deepwater team as a Reservoir Engineer and play a crucial role in optimizing production through expert management of rig workovers and new drilling initiatives. This position is central to unlocking resource value, making critical investment decisions, and driving tangible production impact.

You will be responsible for implementing development activities to enhance and safeguard asset production potential, applying scientific principles to understand and predict reservoir performance, and generating accurate production forecasts and resource volume estimates for new wells. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and support all aspects of Reservoir Engineering for work program replenishment.
  • Implement Post DG-3 Development activities to increase and optimize asset production potential.
  • Apply scientific principles to understand and predict dynamic reservoir performance.
  • Generate production forecasts and resource volume estimates for new wells.
  • Estimate recoverable volumes and forecast for new opportunities.
  • Ensure discipline input is captured in well proposals.
  • Support data acquisition (PVT, Cores, logs) and risk/uncertainty management.
  • Support well and reservoir monitoring and management activities.
  • Ensure compliant resource volume estimation & reporting.
  • Coordinate Technical Assurance of individual deliverables.
  • Act as a technical coach to team members.
  • Present discipline and cross-discipline work to senior management and regulators.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a technical/scientific subject, preferably in Petroleum Engineering.
  • Significant experience as a Reservoir Engineer with a proven track record.
  • Strong technical competence in core reservoir engineering.
  • Good understanding of other sub-surface disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Fully familiar with all reservoir engineering technical and productivity computing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
  • Able to manage all HSSE issues.
