Job Description

Join the dynamic team at LA Crystal Hotel as a Part-time Bilingual Front Desk Agent. This role is crucial for providing exceptional guest experiences and managing front desk operations with fluency in both English and Spanish.

You will be responsible for handling inbound calls, dispatching guest requests to various departments like Housekeeping and Engineering, and managing restaurant reservations. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining excellent customer relations by staying informed about hotel services and local attractions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and connect callers to the correct department or dispatch guest requests.
  • Execute guest requests for housekeeping, engineering, and restaurant reservations.
  • Perform all essential duties of a Front Desk Agent.
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage departments.
  • Provide detailed hotel information and directions.
  • Maintain positive customer relations by being knowledgeable about hotel services and events.
  • Record and execute wake-up call requests.
  • Maintain a log of guest requests for supervisor review.
  • Ensure a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Assist guests with concerns and/or complaints, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  • Issue compensations and provide relief to guests as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and prolonged standing/walking.
  • General knowledge of hotel departments, their functions, and available services/amenities.
  • Excellent customer service and verbiage skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively (in English), both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask using multiple computer-based programs.
  • Proficient understanding of Windows-based computers.
  • Typing skill of 60+ WPM.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with telephone PBX equipment, headsets, and radios is required.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
