Job Description

Layer3 is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abuja. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and advancing our ISO 27001 certified Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will lead internal and external audits, ensure compliance with global standards like ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and PCI-DSS, and collaborate on data privacy regulations such as NDPR. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing daily Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. You will also develop and implement information security policies, conduct risk assessments, design security controls, and report on ISMS performance. Key Responsibilities

Manage and further develop the organization's ISMS.
Lead all internal and external ISMS audits on behalf of the organization.
Ensure continuous compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and PCI-DSS standards.
Collaborate with the legal department and stakeholders to ensure compliance with NDPR.
Manage daily operations of the Security Operations Center, including security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Create and implement information security policies and standards.
Conduct security risk assessments at enterprise and system levels.
Design and implement new security controls.
Collect information security metrics and report on ISMS performance to Top Management.
Implement and track the effectiveness of the organization's information security awareness program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in information security.
One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CySA+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
Demonstrated management and leadership experience, preferably in an IT and security environment.
Strong operational, project management, consulting technology, and process skills.
Industry knowledge of relevant solutions, product line specifications, performance criteria, and applications.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in line with business objectives.
