Job Description

Mountain Studio is offering two Product Design Intern positions for individuals passionate about learning and contributing to the design process. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

As an intern, you will engage in designing user experiences for web and mobile applications. Your responsibilities will include translating requirements into user flows and interfaces, creating wireframes, and assisting with prototypes and high-fidelity UIs.

You will also contribute to building design systems, conducting research, and collaborating with the team to ship cohesive experiences. The role encourages the use of AI tools to enhance efficiency and quality across various design tasks.

We are looking for candidates who are comfortable taking initiative and seeking guidance, possess strong UI/visual skills, and have a good understanding of system thinking. An AI-native mindset and a genuine curiosity about products and their users are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Designing thoughtful, high-quality experiences for web and mobile (Android, iOS, PWA)

Building scalable and consistent UI systems
Conducting research, competitive benchmarking, and synthesizing insights

Qualifications

UI/Visual Skills — ability to visually present the same idea in multiple ways; up to date with trends
Strong system thinking — layout, hierarchy, spacing, responsiveness, consistency
Good communication skills — ask the right questions and get clarity in chaos
AI-native mindset — actively uses AI tools in the design process
Comfort working directly with clients or founders
Deep curiosity about how products work and how people use them
Advanced proficiency in standard design tools
