Job Description

My Money Matters is seeking a skilled Legal and Contract Specialist to join their mission of enhancing the financial lives of public sector workers.

This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from your preferred location within the United Kingdom.

In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the organization's contractual processes and ensuring a robust contract framework is maintained across all business operations.

You will serve as a primary point of contact for all legal and contract-related inquiries, collaborating closely with internal teams and external advisors to support business objectives and uphold best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for legal and contract queries across the business.
  • Support customer, supplier, and partner queries relating to contractual and legal matters.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors and consultants on business and product legal matters.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of legal and contractual obligations across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and legal developments.
  • Manage contracts register and work with Supplier and Partner managers to proactively renew relationships and deals.
  • Work closely with People and Culture to ensure employee contracts and amendments are accurate and compliant.
  • Support the implementation of the Organisations growth activities.
  • Partner with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer queries.
  • Attend meetings and calls with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing professional development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice through reading, training courses, and professional networking.
  • Act as a credible ambassador for the Company at all times when engaging with external organisations, ensuring the Company’s reputation is upheld and its best interests are represented.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role, as required to meet business needs.
  • Comply with the Company’s Business Management System, including requirements relating to ISO9001 and ISO27001 accreditation.
  • Adhere to the requirements of UK GDPR and support compliance with Cyber Essentials and wider information security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a legal, and contracts-focused role.
  • Experience managing end-to-end contract processes, including maintaining accurate contract logs and tracking key obligations and renewal timelines.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
  • High quality commercial and legal insights provided without delay.
  • Experience working within financial services, or employee benefits (desirable).
  • Knowledge of salary sacrifice schemes (desirable).
