About the Role
We are looking for a persuasive and proactive marketer who can effectively convince key stakeholders to join our rapidly expanding marketplace. You will be responsible for promoting our platform to a diverse range of potential clients, including manufacturers, service providers, importers, and exporters. Leveraging your exceptional communication and persuasive abilities, you will identify and unlock new avenues for growth and trade, directly impacting the success of businesses across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage with potential businesses, including manufacturers, exporters, importers, and service providers.
- Clearly articulate and demonstrate the unique benefits of joining our online marketplace.
- Guide and support the registration and onboarding process for verified business owners onto the platform.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with businesses to encourage their active participation and engagement.
- Consistently meet and exceed established onboarding targets.
- Utilize various communication channels (phone, email, social media, personal contacts) to reach and engage potential clients.
- Showcase the platform's features and benefits, emphasizing opportunities for increased visibility, networking, and revenue growth.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within target businesses.
- Effectively communicate the platform's value proposition to diverse stakeholders.
- Provide valuable feedback on market trends, client needs, and competitor insights to inform strategic development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marketing, sales, or business development, particularly within B2B or trade sectors.
- Exceptional communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Highly self-motivated and target-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals.
- Familiarity with African trade dynamics, logistics, or e-commerce ecosystems is a significant advantage.
