Job Description

ProDevs is actively seeking a skilled Mechanic/Technician to join our dedicated team and ensure the optimal performance and safety of our vehicle fleet.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing all vehicles and mechanical equipment. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing downtime, ensuring fleet reliability, and supporting the uninterrupted operation of our services across all routes and terminals.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and technical faults accurately.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Ensure all repairs meet required quality and safety standards.
Test vehicles/equipment after repairs to confirm fault resolution.
Minimize repeat faults through proper root-cause analysis.
Respond promptly to breakdowns to reduce operational downtime.
Support quick turnaround of vehicles and equipment.
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, procedures, and workshop rules.
Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept safe and organized.
Report safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately.
Maintain basic maintenance and repair records.
Document faults, repairs carried out, and parts used.
Provide feedback on recurring mechanical issues and improvement needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanic or Technician (automotive, industrial, or equipment-based).
Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good understanding of mechanical safety practices.
Technical certification or vocational training is an added advantage.
