Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated HR / Admin Officer to manage the people and physical resources of our bank branch in Onitsha, Anambra.

This role is essential for overseeing recruitment processes, maintaining staff records, managing welfare initiatives, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day administration of the premises and vendor services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the branch is ready for operations daily.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from advertising to onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files, contracts, and leave records.
  • Prepare monthly payroll input for the Finance department.
  • Coordinate staff training, including mandatory compliance courses.
  • Administer office supplies and manage procurement within budget.
  • Track attendance and address disciplinary issues.
  • Organize staff meetings, welfare programs, and performance appraisals.
  • Manage insurance, licenses, and utility payments.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. / HND qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) student or associate membership is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in HR and/or office administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a microfinance or retail banking environment, or a structured SME.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and HRIS tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • The ability to speak Igbo language is a compulsory requirement.
