Job Description

Ama Zuma Group is seeking a diligent and skilled IT Officer to join our team.

In this on-site role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our IT infrastructure. This includes overseeing systems and network operations, providing essential technical support to staff, and ensuring the smooth management of software and data.

You will also play a key role in supporting IT projects, procurement processes, security protocols, and compliance requirements, contributing directly to the operational efficiency and technological advancement of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and network equipment
  • Monitor network performance and security, ensuring uptime
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, access rights, and email systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide helpdesk support
  • Train employees on new software, tools, and IT policies
  • Install and update software, antivirus, and operating systems
  • Manage data backups and disaster recovery plans
  • Maintain databases and ensure data security and compliance
  • Assist in planning and implementing new IT systems or upgrades
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware/software purchases and liaise with vendors
  • Implement cybersecurity measures (firewalls, patches, access controls)
  • Ensure IT policies comply with company and regulatory requirements
  • Document IT procedures, inventories, and system configurations

Qualifications

  • HND/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Programming, Networking, Database Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a computer-related environment
