Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Head of Payment to spearhead the growth and execution of Credit Direct’s payment services. This pivotal role involves leading initiatives in digital wallets, bill payments, and transfer solutions, with a strong focus on forging partnerships with fintech companies and merchant aggregator platforms.
Your primary objective will be to achieve ambitious active wallet targets for 2026 and significantly boost transactional activity across our user base. You will be instrumental in developing creative strategies to cross-sell payment services to existing Credit Direct customers and building seamless, high-value payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Embedded Payment strategy to achieve annual active wallet goals.
- Lead initiatives to integrate payment services into other Credit Direct products.
- Collaborate with fintechs, merchant aggregators, and internal teams to create value-driven partnerships and scale adoption.
- Design and implement customer-focused payment features to drive wallet adoption.
- Oversee the rollout of streamlined payment processes for merchant collections and staff payroll.
- Ensure user-friendly payment solutions with seamless onboarding and transaction experiences.
- Leverage Credit Direct’s customer base to drive adoption of payment offerings.
- Work with sales, affiliates, and growth managers to promote wallet usage.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on targeted campaigns for payment service awareness and engagement.
- Build and nurture partnerships with fintechs and merchant platforms to expand wallet reach and transaction volumes.
- Create co-branded campaigns and integrations within partner ecosystems.
- Oversee the deployment and optimization of wallet systems for functionality and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to wallet adoption and transactions.
- Collaborate with technical teams on system updates and customer support.
- Track and analyze key metrics, including active wallet numbers, transaction volumes, and retention rates.
- Provide regular updates to the Embedded Finance Lead on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is an advantage).
- 8+ years of experience in payments, digital banking, or fintech solutions.
- Proven leadership experience in wallet and payment product management.
- Demonstrated track record of driving payment service adoption and transaction growth.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to execute operational plans effectively.
