Job Description
Médecins du Monde is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to manage pharmaceutical supply systems and ensure the quality distribution of medicines within Borno State, Nigeria.
In this crucial role, you will oversee the entire drug supply chain, from receiving and stocking to distribution and data analysis. You will play a key part in supporting our mobile clinics and health facilities, ensuring that healthcare professionals have the necessary medications to provide care. Your expertise will also be vital in training local staff on best practices for drug management and rational use.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to humanitarian healthcare efforts. You will collaborate closely with medical teams, logistics, and program managers to achieve mission objectives and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a high-quality drug supply system aligned with organisational standards.
- Manage pharmaceutical stock effectively, including tracking quantities, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Receive and prepare orders for medicines and medical supplies.
- Collect and analyse drug consumption data across supported facilities and mobile clinics.
- Provide support and build capacity for health facility staff and mobile clinic teams on rational drug use and stock management.
- Prepare activity plans, participate in internal meetings, and contribute to weekly and monthly reports.
- Work collaboratively with medical teams, logistics staff, and programme managers to ensure timely availability of medicines.
- Monitor pharmacy conditions (temperature, organisation) and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; advanced degree is an added advantage.
- Valid pharmacy practising licence in Nigeria.
- Minimum of about 2–3 years of professional pharmacy experience (experience in similar humanitarian or healthcare settings preferred).
- Good working knowledge of stock management systems and basic tools like Excel.
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
