Job Description

Sortly is seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the evolution of its core Inventory Management product line, focusing on AI-powered capabilities. This pivotal role involves shaping the strategic vision and execution of intelligent inventory solutions designed for businesses across construction, field services, manufacturing, and medical industries.

You will be instrumental in transforming Sortly from a basic inventory tracker into an intelligent operations platform. Your responsibilities will include defining and driving the roadmap for high-impact features such as inventory forecasting and replenishment, smart insights and workflows, automated reconciliation, and AI-driven guidance. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the 1–3 year roadmap for AI-powered Inventory Management.
  • Identify and prioritize features for inventory forecasting, replenishment, smart insights, automated reconciliation, and AI-driven workflow guidance.
  • Make strategic decisions on scope, sequencing, and investment to maximize customer value.
  • Lead end-to-end product development for major AI initiatives.
  • Write clear, detailed PRDs with jobs-to-be-done, user stories, and success metrics.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to scope features and maintain delivery velocity.
  • Conduct deep customer research across key verticals to identify opportunities for AI-powered operational intelligence.
  • Build strong empathy for different user personas and their daily workflows.
  • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Run validation sessions and beta programs to ensure product-market fit.
  • Work daily with engineering, design, and data science teams to unblock development.
  • Partner with GTM teams on positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Present roadmaps and progress updates to executive leadership.
  • Define success metrics for features, including customer adoption and AI performance.
  • Track product performance using data and analytics to continuously improve the product experience.
  • Take ownership of business outcomes, not just feature delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience working on AI-enabled or data-driven product capabilities with real customer impact.
  • Proven track record of shipping successful B2B products that drove measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, GTM, and data science) in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strong technical fluency; able to discuss AI/ML concepts, APIs, system architecture, and technical tradeoffs with engineering.
  • Customer Obsession: Deep curiosity about customer workflows and pain points.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop multi-year product vision and make smart short-term tradeoffs.
  • Execution & Delivery: Ability to write clear requirements and ship features on time.
  • Data-Driven: Ability to use analytics, research, and customer feedback to inform decisions.
  • Technical Depth: Understanding of technical constraints and opportunities of AI/ML systems.
  • Ownership: Takes full accountability for outcomes and proactively solves problems.
