Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead, Group Risk & Internal Control to join our dynamic FX and Payments Services firm in London.
In this critical leadership role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our risk management framework and ensuring the robustness of our internal control systems. Your expertise will safeguard the company's assets, reputation, and operational integrity.
You will lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the group, while also establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and policies.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal control systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of vulnerability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead and mentor the risk and internal control team.
- Report on risk and control matters to senior management and the board.
- Proactively identify and address emerging risks in the financial services landscape.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior risk management or internal control role.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks.
- Experience within the FX and payments services industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CIA) are a plus.
