Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Supervise and provide leadership to accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to maintain a high level of productivity and professionalism within the team.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard Company assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and business unit leaders, to provide financial guidance, support, and expertise as needed.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance and alignment with best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Professional Qualification in Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant accounting leadership role.
- 2 years of GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (preferably SAP functional skills).
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
