Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with both local and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a skilled accounting team, providing essential guidance and support to foster a culture of excellence in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Supervise and provide leadership to accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to maintain a high level of productivity and professionalism within the team.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard Company assets.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and business unit leaders, to provide financial guidance, support, and expertise as needed.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance and alignment with best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Professional Qualification in Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant accounting leadership role.
2 years of GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (preferably SAP functional skills).
Excellent analytical skills.
Experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
