Job Description
MetroStar is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our innovative team. In this remote role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping digital experiences by applying a human-centered approach to problem-solving.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and enhance digital products, ensuring they are accessible, user-friendly, and highly functional. Your expertise will be key in translating complex requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery efforts to identify user needs, pain points, requirements, and business objectives.
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to drive alignment and clarity.
- Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clearly defined problem statements and priorities.
- Communicate design intent, requirements, and constraints effectively to technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences.
- Present findings, recommendations, and design concepts to stakeholders in a clear, inclusive manner.
- Synthesize research and discovery findings to produce actionable artifacts (e.g., affinity diagrams, service design diagrams, and customer journey maps).
- Develop wireframes to explore solutions and gather early feedback.
- Advocate for user-centered design practices and contribute to the team’s growth in discovery and design methodologies.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset by continuously learning new tools, methods, and domain knowledge to improve discovery and design outcomes.
Qualifications
- An active Secret security Clearance.
- BA/BS degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience leading discovery and requirements gathering activities.
- Proficiency in creating design artifacts using tools such as Figma, Miro, or similar.
- Experience with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Sketch).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting in and leading meetings.
