Job Description

Etihad Energy Holding is actively seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This is a crucial role for a professional dedicated to maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency within our organization.

You will be instrumental in managing the entire accounts payable cycle, from verifying invoices and resolving discrepancies to reconciling statements and supporting month-end closing activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts payable process, including verifying and processing supplier invoices, ensuring all supporting documents are complete, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice receipt and payment status, resolving invoice discrepancies, pricing differences, tax issues, and missing documentation.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Receiving, and Finance teams to resolve payment-related matters.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, investigate outstanding items, maintain vendor account records and ledger balances.
  • Prepare payments for approval and send payment confirmations or remittance advice after payments are processed.
  • Support smooth month-end closing activities, audits, and financial reporting while ensuring timely and accurate settlement of supplier obligations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 3 or more years of experience in accounting or related fields.
  • Proven experience in auditing and knowledge of UAE tax.
  • Experience working with a marine or energy-related company preferred.
