Job Description

PXGEO is a leader in innovative marine geophysical services, dedicated to delivering exceptional subsurface imaging for a sustainable energy future. We integrate advanced ocean bottom and towed streamer seismic data acquisition techniques to meet evolving industry needs.

As an IT Specialist focusing on Data Analysis, you will be instrumental in developing, designing, and deploying robust business intelligence solutions. This includes managing data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics tools, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for critical decision-making.

Your responsibilities will encompass creating and optimizing interactive Power BI dashboards, developing efficient data models, and writing clear DAX measures. You will also assist in building predictive and prescriptive analytics models, performing in-depth data analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.

Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, working closely with the IT team to implement access controls. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and update interactive Power BI dashboards with a strong focus on clarity and user experience.
  • Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and time‑intelligence metrics.
  • Build efficient data models (relationships, hierarchies, star schema basics).
  • Ensure dashboards are accurate, well‑documented, and delivered on time.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of predictive and prescriptive analytics models to support business goals and objectives.
  • Performing and supporting data analysis, data mining, and data modeling activities to support business decision-making and identify trends, patterns and anomalies in business data.
  • Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and create analytics solutions that address their needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the IT team to implement and maintain data access controls and security measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analytics and BI roles.
  • Technical knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Power BI.
  • Basic knowledge of data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Basic knowledge of Python.
  • Proficiency in Power BI design and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of finance.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling.
  • Certification in a relevant data analytics or BI framework is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to engage with both IT and business staff.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem investigation and solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize workload under pressure.
  • Highly disciplined and adept at producing and maintaining documentation.
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours, when required by the business.
