We are seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer to become an integral part of our Maintenance team. This role is essential for maintaining the hotel's infrastructure and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests. You will be responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing a wide range of maintenance activities throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within hotel rooms.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to all maintenance calls.
  • Assist in the implementation of energy conservation programs.
  • Execute the preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard.
  • Keep technical training knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.

Qualifications

  • Good mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and engineering knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
  • Basic understanding of air-conditioning and ventilation / HVAC systems.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently on all department responsibilities.
  • Fluent English and excellent grooming standards.
