Job Description

ConnectPrep is seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our innovative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend instructional insight with technical expertise, contributing to the development of data-driven solutions that redefine educational support.

You will work closely with our educators to refine and validate the analytical models that power our student success initiatives. This position involves gaining a deep understanding of our algorithms, the technologies underpinning our products, and our proprietary educational content. This knowledge will be instrumental in creating actionable tests and modules designed to precisely identify individual student academic needs.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with educators to validate and iterate on data models.
Develop an understanding of algorithms, technologies, and educational content.
Synthesize knowledge into actionable tests to build modules for identifying student academic needs.
Work with AI tools and workflows to support data-driven decision-making.
Perform data mining and cleaning from multiple sources.
Support projects involving AI and chatbot development.
Conduct SEO and keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
Analyze website analytics and prepare summary reports.
Assist with data analysis for marketing campaigns and business operations.
Help test, document, and iterate on new data and AI workflows.

Qualifications

Studying or have studied Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Some coding experience and a strong interest in technology and AI.
Experience with at least one of the following: SQL, Python data tools (Pandas, NumPy, or similar), building simple data pipelines or analysis scripts in Python.
Comfortable with advanced Excel functions, tables, conditional formatting, charting, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Enjoy creative problem-solving and working with real-world data.
Strong math/quantitative skills and excellent attention to detail.
Curious about how data can improve learning and student outcomes.
Prior internship or project experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or marketing analytics is a plus.
Familiarity with web analytics and marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio) is a plus.
Experience visualizing data in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio is a plus.
Experience working with SEO tools or keyword platforms is a plus.
Experience collaborating in remote or hybrid teams (Slack, Zoom, project management boards) is a plus.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.
