Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Adapt stories for interactive formats by analyzing source material and reimagining them as engaging, interactive experiences.
- Develop beat sheets and chapter outlines that give each story a strong, satisfying arc.
- Draft and refine chapters with a distinctive voice, clean prose, and a sharp eye for pacing and detail.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with art and production teams to coordinate visual assets and keep projects on track.
- Analyze story performance data post-release and make thoughtful edits to strengthen reader engagement.
- Participate in workshops and peer reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to elevate creative standards.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, consistently meeting deadlines and adapting quickly to creative direction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in narrative design, creative writing, screenwriting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated talent for developing original, engaging storylines that captivate audiences.
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to gracefully incorporate feedback and iterate quickly.
- Reliable time management and the capacity to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working with collaboration and production tools.
- Preferred: Experience with interactive fiction, games, serialized content, or mobile storytelling apps.
- Preferred: Familiarity with adapting existing intellectual property (IP) or long-form fiction.
