Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who can expertly manage tax compliance, support audit processes, and provide essential tax advisory services. The objective is to ensure the organization consistently adheres to all legal and statutory tax obligations.
A significant advantage for this position will be prior experience with tax regulations specific to the Lottery and Gaming industry in Nigeria. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work independently.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns in compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
- Liaise with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and relevant State Internal Revenue Services on tax matters.
- Support and manage external tax and financial audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Prepare and assist with audited financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Provide tax advisory support to management on regulatory compliance, tax planning, and risk management.
- Provide support on Lottery and Gaming tax compliance and related regulatory requirements where applicable.
Qualifications
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a tax professional or tax expert.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and tax compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with Lottery and Gaming tax regulations in Nigeria will be a strong advantage.
- Proven experience handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
- Ability to prepare audited financial statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting).
- High proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar platforms).
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
