Job Description
Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a highly experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) operations at the Ibese Plant. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of all HEMM activities, from daily operations to strategic maintenance and budget oversight. You will be instrumental in optimizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the HEMM team.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HEMM operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for HEMM to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment usage, repair, and maintenance schedules, collaborating with the maintenance team.
- Train and supervise HEMM operators, providing ongoing support.
- Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all HEMM equipment.
- Develop and manage budgets for HEMM operations, ensuring strict compliance.
- Streamline HEMM operations, identifying improvements to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 21 years of experience in HEMM operations and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of HEMM operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage HEMM operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and support team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
