Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the cement production process to ensure it operates within specified parameters.
- Utilize control systems and instrumentation to track key process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Record and report process data accurately to the Process Engineer for analysis.
- Operate and maintain production equipment, including crushers, mills, kilns, and conveyors.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the startup and shutdown of production equipment as required.
- Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
- Implement corrective actions to address process deviations and equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate actively in safety training and emergency response drills.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards in all process-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of process data, equipment maintenance, and quality control results.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on production performance, equipment status, and process improvements.
- Assist in the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Process Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining industrial production equipment (e.g., crushers, mills, kilns, conveyors).
- Understanding of process control systems and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Good record-keeping and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
