Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bid & Tender Specialist to join our dynamic team.

In this critical role, you will be instrumental in driving our company's growth by meticulously managing the entire bid and tender process. Your expertise will ensure we submit compelling and compliant proposals that secure new contracts.

You will be responsible for coordinating the preparation, compilation, and submission of various tender documents, including pre-qualifications, Invitation to Tender (ITT), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and formal tender submissions. This involves a thorough review of client requirements, interpretation of technical and commercial specifications, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Your day-to-day activities will include evaluating proposals, interfacing with suppliers for quotations, gathering market intelligence, and ensuring all documentation meets the stringent requirements of each tender. You will also play a key role in preparing and delivering technical presentations to clients, aiming to increase our market share for key products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation, compilation, and submission of Pre-Qualifications, ITT, RFQ, Commercial Bids, and formal Tender submissions.
  • Review and understand client prequalification, Invitation to Tender/Request for Quotation documents.
  • Evaluate technical and commercial proposals and report findings to management.
  • Interpret client technical and commercial specifications and produce compliant proposals or suggest alternatives.
  • Organize tender review and bid preparation activities.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of technical & commercial tenders and contracts.
  • Gather all necessary data and information for successful technical tender and prequalification packages.
  • Interface with suppliers for quotations in line with client requirements.
  • Gather new intelligence for reports, tenders, and presentations to aid in winning new contracts.
  • Maintain contact with technical partners, JV partners, and nominated subcontractors during the bidding process.
  • Coordinate planning and cost control activities for tender preparation.
  • Monitor the tender submission process for completeness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Attend meetings with parties involved in the bidding process and negotiation phase.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products and services to customers.
  • Increase market share of commodity chemicals, drilling and subsea chemicals, oil tools, etc., to oil and gas companies in Nigeria.

Qualifications

  • HND or BSc in any Discipline, preferably Marketing or Business Administration.
