Key Responsibilities
- Directly participate in field construction, including planning, execution, quantity verification, and safety.
- Communicate project needs for materials, manpower, and equipment to the Project Superintendent.
- Coordinate daily tasks based on established priorities and project plans.
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to Wilco's high-quality standards.
- Verify subcontractor compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Train staff on Wilco procedures and safe work practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent or foreman, with a preference for civil construction background.
- Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of construction equipment operation.
- Proficiency in numeracy, record-keeping, and technology usage.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, grade stakes, and utilize a laser level.
- Capacity to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with a crew of 3-5 individuals.
- Advanced knowledge of fundamental landscaping principles, including grading, planting, and hardscape.
- Commitment to promoting a positive team culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
