Job Description

Zaber is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our innovative IT team. This role is crucial for supporting our company's growth, enhancing our colleagues' work experience, and fostering your own professional development.

You will gain comprehensive exposure to all aspects of our manufacturing business, leveraging your skills and creativity to collaborate on solutions, solve complex problems, and identify new opportunities across the organization.

As part of a dedicated team, you'll work alongside experienced Software Developers and a Project Manager to maintain and evolve our custom ERP software, which is integral to every department. Your primary focus will be supporting our internal users, ensuring our systems meet their evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and improve custom internal software systems, including our ERP system, specialized web applications, and various small services, to facilitate and automate work throughout the company.
  • Support colleagues by troubleshooting issues and adapting systems to their evolving needs.
  • Participate in project development, sprint planning, retrospectives, design/code reviews, and planning improvements to help set the direction of the team.

Qualifications

  • A passion for programming with a strong foundation in object-oriented design, modern web standards, and relational databases.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Python, and SQL is desirable.
  • A proactive approach to learning, a drive to gain complete understanding, and the ability to think problems through and ask specific questions.
  • Keenness to work directly with end-users, understand their needs, and find creative solutions.
