Job Description

We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Professional Chef to lead the culinary operations at Solomon Porch Hotel & Suites.

This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our 24-hour hotel kitchen, ensuring the preparation of exceptional Nigerian dishes, managing a junior kitchen staff, and upholding stringent standards of hygiene and food safety. You will be responsible for meticulous cost control, portion management, and maintaining the consistent quality and presentation that our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and batch Nigerian dishes (including soups and bulk cooking)
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Enforce strict portion control and cost management
  • Maintain daily stock sheets and participate in weekly inventory checks
  • Oversee snacks production and packaging
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Submit daily operational and stock reports
  • Operate independently during assigned shifts

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years professional kitchen experience
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and bulk cooking
  • Ability to manage and discipline junior staff
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willing to operate within a structured system
  • Must be capable of working collaboratively with CeeCooks
  • Preferably resides close to Ondo Town
