Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to play a pivotal role in managing the technical transition of an aviation sector concession.
In this critical role, you will lead the technical baselining of all airside and landside assets, providing essential data to inform comprehensive transition planning. You will develop phased engineering transition plans that are meticulously aligned with concession and regulatory milestones, ensuring a structured and compliant approach.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing design reviews, providing procurement support, managing construction supervision, and ensuring stringent QA/QC, testing, and commissioning processes are followed. A key focus will be ensuring compliance with concession specifications, ICAO standards, and Nigerian aviation regulations, while maintaining the continuity of critical airport systems.
You will also lead technical risk assessment, develop contingency plans, and oversee emergency response planning. Building engineering capability through training, implementing governance tools, defining KPIs, and completing as-built documentation for handover will be integral to your role, ensuring a smooth and effective transition.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree or advanced technical qualification preferred.
- Minimum 15 years in airport engineering, major transport infrastructure, or large civil works; at least 7 years in senior technical or project leadership roles.
- Experience in Nigeria or comparable emerging-market contexts is essential.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent desirable; PMP, Prince2, or equivalent program/project management certification advantageous.
- Prior exposure to concession/PPP projects, airport operational readiness programs, and stakeholder transition (staff transfers, union negotiations) is highly valuable.
- Demonstrable track record of working with regulators and delivering projects to aviation safety standards; willingness to travel and work on site during critical delivery phases.
