Job Description

Sunreef Yachts is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Composite Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at our Ras Al Khaimah facility.

This critical role focuses on the design, development, and comprehensive production support of advanced composite structures integral to our luxury yachts. You will collaborate closely with both engineering and production departments to ensure the highest standards of structural integrity, manufacturability, and overall quality for all composite components.

This position is ideally suited for candidates possessing robust hands-on experience in composite design and manufacturing, with a strong preference for those with a background in the marine industry or similarly demanding sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models of composite structures and components
  • Design plugs, molds, and tooling systems for production
  • Prepare accurate 2D workshop drawings and technical documentation
  • Define and optimize lamination schedules for composite parts
  • Support production teams with technical guidance during manufacturing and assembly
  • Review and validate structural integrity and manufacturability of composite designs
  • Propose and implement optimized construction and structural solutions
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and planning teams to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting during production phases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in composite design, analysis, or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and structural behavior
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including: SolidWorks (advanced surfacing required) and Rhinoceros (Rhino 3D)
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings and lamination documentation
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
