Job Description

DeepLight AI, a leader in AI and data consultancy, is seeking a dedicated Data Assurance Analyst to join their team in Dubai. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of data within sophisticated enterprise systems, particularly in the financial services sector.

You will be instrumental in executing data quality strategies, ensuring that data transformations and migrations are seamless and accurate. This involves deploying validation checks, performing reconciliations, and monitoring data quality scorecards to prevent silent failures.

The position requires a critical thinker who can analyze data flow from source to insight, ensuring compliance with high-stakes environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering squads to embed automated validation and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Deploying Soda Core checks across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, analyzing how quality at the source impacts downstream AI and analytics.
Performing rigorous source-to-target reconciliation and checksums to ensure no "silent failures" occur during complex AWS Glue or Data Factory migrations.
Maintaining data quality scorecards within OpenMetadata and supporting the operationalization of Data Contracts between producers and consumers.
Monitoring automated alerts, performing initial root-cause analysis on data drift or schema failures, and collaborating with squads to implement permanent countermeasures.
Maintaining "human-centric" runbooks and documentation that make data quality standards accessible to both technical and non-technical team members.
Working alongside Data Engineering squads to embed automated validation checks into existing live data flows.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or specialized Data QA roles.
Practical understanding of Lakehouse architectures and the Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) design pattern.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation and script automation.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (specifically S3, Glue, and Athena) or similar cloud data stacks.
A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
The ability to look beyond a failed check to understand the root cause and its broader business impact.
An uncompromising eye for data accuracy, ensuring that referential integrity and checksums are perfectly aligned.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments using Jira and participating actively in Scrum ceremonies.
The ability to communicate technical issues clearly and constructively, fostering a culture of quality within the engineering team.
