Job Description

Fueled is seeking a skilled Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our globally distributed, remote team. This role is pivotal in driving the technical vision for complex data pipelines, connecting marketing strategy with sophisticated data architecture.

You will be responsible for translating ambitious analytics requirements into scalable, secure, and automated data workflows. This involves leveraging your deep understanding of the Google Cloud Platform, ETL processes, and modern data modeling techniques to build end-to-end analytics frameworks.

Key responsibilities include implementing robust data ingestion strategies using GA4 and Google Tag Manager, architecting cloud storage and data pipelines on GCP with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub, and driving data consumption and visualization through Looker and LookML.

You will also orchestrate ETL and reverse ETL workflows, aggregating data from various sources, and enable lifecycle marketing and experimentation by building the necessary data foundations for identity resolution and audience syncing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement robust data ingestion strategies, creating and configuring GA4 properties and utilizing Google Tag Manager (GTM) for event definition and deployment.
  • Architect scalable cloud storage and data pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub, including configuring GA4-to-BigQuery exports and managing IAM permissions.
  • Drive data consumption and visualization by bridging BigQuery and Looker, writing LookML to define semantic models and developing standardized dashboards for reporting.
  • Orchestrate ETL and reverse ETL workflows, aggregating data from varied sources into cohesive warehouses and lakes, and managing data flow orchestration and transformation.
  • Enable lifecycle marketing and experimentation by establishing identity resolution and audience syncing capabilities through Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and building data foundations for experimentation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Advanced data modeling and SQL expertise, capable of transforming multi-source data into clean, logical semantic models.
  • Deep Cloud Infrastructure capabilities, with specialization in the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub).
  • Mastery of the modern analytics stack, including GA4, GTM, and Looker/LookML for capturing, storing, and visualizing user behavior.
  • Hands-on experience with the lifecycle marketing ecosystem, including Identity Resolution, audience syncing, and CDP integrations.
  • Rigorous attention to detail in QA and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
