Job Description

Hello Products Limited is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our esteemed Finance department in Oregun, Lagos.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analytical reviews of financial reports, providing crucial insights for decision-making, and supporting the development of company-wide strategies. You will oversee the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly business reviews, ensuring actual performance aligns with planned objectives.

Your responsibilities will extend to evaluating the financial viability of new business ventures, managing brand performance and profitability in collaboration with Sales and Marketing, and providing comprehensive financial support to the leadership team. You will also play a key role in managing account receivables and credit control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical reviews of draft and final board papers for completeness, accuracy, and generation of business insights.
  • Support the establishment of an adequate control environment to manage existing and potential business and financial risks.
  • Prepare and analyze investment appraisals for current and new businesses, advising on investment returns and target ROIC.
  • Support the development of company strategy across all business areas, challenging assumptions and providing financial analysis.
  • Supervise the preparation of the Annual budget and quarterly business reviews (R1 - R3), monitoring actual performance against plans.
  • Drive the preparation of business cases to evaluate the economic viability and financial implications of strategic business decisions.
  • Support the analysis of the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans.
  • Manage all management reports, including Management Business Review (MBR), HPL periodic Management reports, Business Review Meeting (BRM), and Sales and Operations Planning Financials (S&OP).
  • Take full responsibility for brand performance and profitability management with Sales and Marketing.
  • Provide financial and non-financial decision support, strategic planning, and alignment between customer and category for the Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Manage all activities relating to account receivables, credit control/terms/limits, monitoring of credit customers, key accounts, refunds, discounts/rebates, Dr/Cr journal accuracy, customers and staff debtors accounts reconciliation, customer cheques, and outstanding debts.
  • Support External & Internal Audit processes.
  • Liaise with Banks & Regulators.
  • Collaborate with Commercial & Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Senior Manager/Supervisor experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in budget preparation and management.
  • Familiarity with investment appraisal techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership teams.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software.
