Job Description

Facet is revolutionizing financial planning by offering objective, personalized advice to empower individuals to live more enriched lives. We are seeking a Lead Planner to guide members aged 55+ through their retirement transition, focusing on comprehensive financial life coaching.

In this role, you will conduct virtual strategy sessions, translate complex financial concepts into actionable plans, and manage the full planning lifecycle. You will own critical areas such as cash flow management, advanced investment strategies, tax planning, and integrated risk management, with a deep emphasis on pre-retiree and retiree-specific issues like Social Security, Medicare, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct 4–6 virtual strategy sessions per day, translating technical complexities into actionable paths that align with members' long-term life goals and inciting action.
  • Take full ownership of the planning lifecycle—from cash flow management and advanced investment strategies to tax planning strategies and integrated risk management.
  • Deeply focus on pre-retiree/retiree issues, including Social Security claiming, Medicare options, income source coordination (pensions, annuities), and estate plan integration.
  • Rapidly establish deep-seated trust in a remote environment, maintaining an organized and elite client experience within the dynamic, fast-paced energy of a scaling firm.
  • Provide confidence and reassurance in the plan through exceptional soft skills, expertly managing member emotions and adjusting communication style based on audience.
  • Effectively and ruthlessly manage your calendar to provide an organized experience while staying adaptable to the fast-paced energy of a scaling firm.

Qualifications

  • CFP® designation
  • MST or PST Location preferred
  • 15+ years of member facing financial planning experience with a significant focus on pre-retirement and retirement planning.
  • Exceptional follow up and typing/written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build connections with members
  • Flexibility with hours to accommodate member meetings 2 nights per week
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn in-house software and tools
  • Exceptional time and calendar management skills
