Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Labourers to join our team at Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a 4-day work week, contributing to our wood operation processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks within the wood processing facility, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials. Your duties will include unloading, loading, and separating wood products, operating machinery, inspecting and measuring wood pieces, and maintaining a clean work environment.

This position requires physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching throughout your shift. You must be able to work in various outdoor conditions, including heat and cold, and tolerate noisy and dusty environments. A safety-conscious attitude and good hand-eye coordination are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload, load, and separate wood products into industrial machines.
  • Manually guide wood against saws and operate automatic feeding devices.

  • Dispose of trash and waste materials.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent is an asset.
  • Must have own steel-toed boots.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to wear required hand, eye, and ear protection.
  • Experience working in wood processing or a lumber yard is desirable.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate operational and scheduling requirements.
