Job Description

Arakkal Gold & Diamonds is seeking a qualified HR Officer to oversee all human resource functions within our jewelry retail operations in Dubai.

This role requires a professional with 3-5 years of retail HR experience, including 2 years in a managerial capacity, and must hold CHRM and/or CIPD certification. A strong grasp of UAE labor laws and hands-on experience in employee relations and payroll management are essential.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, leading recruitment efforts, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with all UAE labor and immigration laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals and UAE Labour Law.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies for all business units.
  • Oversee employee performance management systems, including KPI setting, monitoring, and rating, in collaboration with department heads.
  • Provide expert HR guidance to management and employees on matters such as performance, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution to maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all UAE labour and immigration laws, keeping company policies up to date with regulatory changes.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
  • Support leadership in workforce planning, succession management, and organizational development.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and provide analytics-driven reports on KPIs, turnover, and workforce trends.
  • Drive training and development initiatives to build employee capability and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CHRM and/or CIPD certification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Prior experience in the jewellery or retail industry is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of UAE Labour Law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent verbal and written command in English and Malayalam.
