Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our Quality Assurance efforts at YouTrip, a rapidly expanding multi-currency payment platform. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and integrity of our services, moving quality from a distinct phase to a continuous platform service.
You will be responsible for defining and executing the quality roadmap, overseeing automated and manual testing across mobile, web, and backend APIs. This includes building and maintaining centralized automation frameworks that all development squads will leverage, and governing the test pyramid to optimize speed and reliability.
Key responsibilities involve owning the global regression suite, ensuring multi-market flows are validated with absolute confidence before each release. You will partner with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate automated tests as a non-negotiable part of the delivery pipeline, driving advanced testing methodologies like contract testing and performance testing.
Furthermore, you will manage and grow a diverse team of QA engineers and SDETs, fostering a culture of technical curiosity and ownership. As the 'Voice of Quality,' you will influence leadership discussions, balancing rapid feature delivery with platform stability, and ensuring specialized testing strategies for financial risks and partner integrations.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Define the Quality Roadmap for automated and manual testing across mobile, Web, and Backend APIs.
- Lead the SDET team in building and maintaining centralized automation frameworks.
- Audit and optimize the test pyramid across all domains.
- Own the "Global Regression Suite" and ensure multi-market flows are validated.
- Partner with DevOps and Engineers to implement robust "Deployment Gates" in the delivery pipeline.
- Drive advanced testing methodologies, including Contract Testing and Performance/Load testing.
- Manage and grow a diverse team of manual QA Engineers and SDETs.
- Define hiring standards for QA/SDET talent and lead interviewing.
- Act as the "Voice of Quality" in leadership meetings.
- Ensure testing strategies account for financial risks and partner integrations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/management role overseeing both manual and automated engineering teams.
- Strong background in Java, JavaScript, or Python for test automation.
- Hands-on expertise with Appium, Selenium, and API testing (Postman/RestAssured).
- Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and Event-driven systems (Kafka).
- Proven track record of building or scaling central automation frameworks used by multiple teams.
- Prior experience in Payments, Banking, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to translate complex technical risks into business impact for stakeholders.
