Job Description
A company in the upstream oil and gas sector is seeking a Joint Venture (JV) Accountant with specialized experience to support its Financial Controller.
This role is crucial for managing the company’s oil and gas asset interests and ensuring compliance with Joint Operating Agreements. Responsibilities include supporting JV budgeting, performance reporting, and reconciling partner billings, with a mandatory requirement for oil and gas industry experience and proficiency in specific financial systems.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support JV budgeting, performance reporting, and budget change control.
- Review and reconcile JV partners' billings and statements of account.
- Manage cost recoveries related to JV oil assets.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Operating Agreements.
- Assist with financial reporting and accounting operations for JV assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or an equivalent degree.
- Must be a chartered Accountant with an ICAN, ACA & ACCA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in JV Accounting in a producing oil & gas organisation.
- Oil and gas experience is mandatory.
- Strong operational finance experience in Joint Ventures in a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) environment is mandatory.
- Proficient in using Sun Systems.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Robust CAPEX and OPEX budget management skills.
- Willingness to visit oil & gas JV assets locations both onshore and offshore as required.
