Job Description

We are seeking a competent Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos, dedicated to ensuring the rational and effective use of medication.

In this role, you will significantly contribute to patient care through collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) and by offering excellent patient support. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing pharmaceutical therapy and ensuring positive patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include developing clinical pharmacy programs aligned with policies and regulations, reviewing patient records to assess medication appropriateness, and evaluating patient conditions to ensure all health issues are adequately addressed. You will also identify untreated health problems and refer patients to appropriate physicians, and develop effective medication plans designed to minimize the risk of adverse side-effects.

Furthermore, you will consult on dosages and medication substances, advise on the correct administration of drugs, and assess the results of pharmaceutical treatments. Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintaining accurate documentation of medication plans and patient progress are also integral to this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clinical pharmacy programs according to policies and regulations

Qualifications

  • OND, HND, or Degree with 2 years experience
  • Proven experience as clinical pharmacist
  • Residency training and current license are required
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care
  • Solid knowledge of drug administration and health & safety guidelines
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Team player with outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Strong professional ethics
