Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Consultant to provide essential mental health services, consultation, and training to students at Cass Job Corps.

This on-site role operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a structured work environment.

Candidates must possess an active, unrestricted license as a Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, enabling independent practice within the state where services are rendered. All services must strictly adhere to state regulations.

Key responsibilities include prompt review of applicant files, conducting initial assessments and intake procedures, and developing treatment plans as applicable. You will meticulously record all mental health documentation, including diagnoses, treatment and management plans, and medication details, within the Student Health Record (SHR) and Job Corps Health and Wellness Program forms.

You will actively participate in the management of chronic care for students with mental health conditions, providing written diagnoses and collaborating with the Substance Abuse Counselor (TEAP) for co-occurring conditions. Coordination with the center physician and Health & Wellness Manager (HWM) for long-term medication and Schedule II prescription management is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Furthermore, you will contribute to Reasonable Accommodation Committee (RAC) meetings and applicant review team meetings during scheduled hours. When necessary, you will assist students in acquiring health-related skills and knowledge for maintaining healthy mental well-being.
