Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Regulatory Affairs Officer to ensure our operations meet all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations governing feed production, poultry farming, and agro-allied activities.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring adherence to NAFDAC regulations for feed registration, labeling, and safety, as well as ensuring compliance with SON standards for product quality and manufacturing processes. You will also implement and monitor biosecurity, environmental, and animal welfare regulations.
Key tasks involve coordinating product registration and approvals with NAFDAC, facilitating SON certification, and obtaining necessary permits from NAQS for raw material imports. You will ensure environmental compliance with NESREA regulations and maintain all statutory licenses required for feed mills and poultry operations.
Furthermore, you will maintain comprehensive records of production, sourcing, and drug usage, ensuring traceability. You will prepare and submit regulatory reports, coordinate routine inspections, and act as the company’s representative during regulatory visits and audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.

- Monitor adherence to NAFDAC regulations for feed registration, labeling, and safety
- Ensure compliance with SON standards for product quality and manufacturing processes
- Implement and monitor biosecurity, environmental, and animal welfare regulations
- Coordinate product registration and approvals with NAFDAC for animal feeds and related products
- Facilitate SON certification and ensure products meet Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS)
- Obtain and renew permits from NAQS for import/export of raw materials (e.g., premixes, additives)
- Ensure environmental compliance with NESREA regulations (waste management, emissions, etc.)
- Maintain all statutory licenses required for feed mills and poultry operations
- Maintain comprehensive records of feed formulations, raw material sourcing, batch production, and veterinary drug usage
- Ensure traceability of all production inputs and outputs in line with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant agencies as required
- Coordinate routine inspections by NAFDAC, SON, and other regulatory bodies
- Act as the company’s representative during regulatory visits and audits
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and regulatory authorities
- Keep management informed of changes in Nigerian regulatory policies and industry guidelines
- Represent the organization during regulatory meetings, compliance reviews, and industry engagements
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in feed milling operations
- Support implementation of HACCP and other food/feed safety systems
- Enforce biosecurity measures in poultry farms to prevent disease outbreaks
- Ensure proper handling and usage of veterinary drugs in line with regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of Nigerian regulatory bodies such as NAFDAC, SON, and NESREA.
- Proven experience in coordinating product registration, facilitating certifications, and maintaining statutory licenses.
- A commitment to upholding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and implementing safety systems like HACCP is highly valued.
