Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting critical business decisions by extracting, analyzing, and presenting data from our Oracle and SQL-based databases. You will collaborate closely with departments such as Loans, Operations, Marketing, and Risk to deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write complex SQL queries (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL) to extract data from production databases
  • Develop and maintain regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loan disbursements, repayments, portfolio quality, and customer acquisition
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness through regular validation and quality checks
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies (e.g., repayment behavior, product uptake, customer demographics)
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data distributions and relationships
  • Monitor portfolio performance metrics including Portfolio at Risk (PAR), delinquency rates, and write-off trends
  • Support the Risk team by providing data for credit assessments and portfolio reviews
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Present complex data in simple, visual formats for non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure dashboards are updated regularly and reflect real-time or near-real-time data
  • Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data queries
  • Present findings to management and cross-functional teams in clear, actionable terms
  • Collaborate with the Database Administration team to ensure data availability and integrity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) are a plus
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in Oracle SQL or PL/SQL (joins, subqueries, aggregate functions, stored procedures)
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, charts, formulas)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools
  • Basic programming skills in Python/R for data manipulation and analysis (Optional but a plus)
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and data warehousing
  • Experience creating and automating reports
